• Is there a hire fee?

  On occasion there may be, but we try our best to work with your individual needs.

• Why is there a minimum spend?

  When we allocate a space to a function room we forfeit that space for the use of other customers. Our minimum spend values have been determined by how much that space would make us if it was used for regular trading on that date and time. To prevent loses we need a guarantee that the space will continue to make, at least, the minimum value that it would usually.

• Are dogs allowed?

  Of course! We allow dogs in the pub area of the building and the garden. Please just ask us for a water bowl.

   

• Do you offering catering?

  Certainly, we have a range of function menus from canapes to hot buffets and everything in between. Samples menus are available on request.

• Can our party have a dedicated staff member?

  Of course. Each booking is assigned dedicated team members. This is to look after your party perfectly.

• Do you allow exclusive hire of the whole pub?

  Yes we do! Please contact us for more details of how we can do this for you.

• How is minimum spend tracked?

  We understand guests will want to pay for their own drinks and set up their own tabs. All your guests have to do is mention they are part of your group when they are at the bar and our tills will keep track of how much has been spent.

• Do you need a deposit?

  Yes, in order to secure your booking we require a deposit of 10% and/or the quoted room hire fee. This is of course redeemable from your final bill. Until your deposit is received your booking is not confirmed. All bookings are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

• What time are you open until?

  Our full opening and serving hours can be found here. Opening times can be amended to the function. If an extension is needed, then we could apply for a small fee.

• Can I bring my own food & drink?

  Unfortunately not. Due to health & safety reasons, we prepare everything for you on site. We do however, allow you to bring a celebratory cake for the occasion. Should you wish us to store this on the day it shouldn't be a problem, just let us know!

• Are decorations allowed?

  Absolutely! Please feel free to decorate your area & tables however way that you wish. All we ask is that you refrain from bringing confetti or confetti filled balloons (because it's impossible to sweep it all up and we still find it weeks later) and that you only use blue-tac when pinning up banners to avoid damage to the paintwork. For some occasions we can provide linens upon request.

• Can we book our own live music?

  Yes, no problem at all, as long as it doesn’t disrupt any other guests we are happy for you to bring your own musician. We just ask that you run past us what music it is before you book. We will need to check PAT tested equipment and Public Liability Insurance before the event. Thank you.
